Types of reciever to use at Hayling Island site
Due to the amount of radio interference at our flying site, I would strongly recommend any one using a PPM radio receiver upgrade to a PCM type receiver.
I believe that the underground drainage piping causes a PPM type receiver to glitch as the model is flown over them.
The drainage pipes appear to be made from cast iron, and thus produce a magnetic field. If you pass a wire (aerial lead) thro a magnetic field you produce a small current in the wire.
It does not appear to affect the PCM receivers.
Do not risk it, if you have PPM receivers don’t fly!
